The Customer Services Provided by Apple has been second to none. Just call Customer Relation and your problem is solved in a few days. I had a problem with my old Macbook pro. I had somehow tampered with the battery and upon asking, they replaced it within 4 days. Which was quick by all means.

Battery Life

WIth 2 GHz above processor, dedicated nVidia graphics and 200GB+ Hard disk, the five hour battery life it provides in normal operation is really good for a laptop of this category. Though apple needs to improve in this. I seriously think there is much work left for all the laptops manufacturers to build a good battery that can serve 1 day. At least 10 will do. But any laptops is far from doing that.

Display

Apple has provided us with really high resolution displays for 15.4″ screen with 1440X900; 1680 x 1050 or 1920 x 1200 for the 17-inch model - are really high resolution displays. The auto-dimming feature of the screen by sensing ambient light falling on the screen provides really better viewability. And to speak in a nutshell, Apple is a headturner by all means.

Price

Though MacBook Pro is little heavier on pocket than say an average $1300 Dell Laptop, it deserves that price for the quality it provides. This will really provide you the value for money. VFM is what Apple has always been vouched for despite being supremely priced. But someone who has used a Mac ever, doesn’t say its unreasonable.

It can support Windows

Yes! they can run windows and can run better than many other laptops available in the market. So, if you are accustomed to windows you don’t have to worry now. But as I said earlier the advantage of using a Mac is using its OS X.

The Trackpad

The trackpad is really smooth and have only one button. Running Windows may seem difficult in absence of right mouseclick button. But it is not - as you can have the same functionality by touching the screen with two fingers. If you find this difficult too, you can always use a seperate USB mouse with it.

When there is not enough ambient light falling on the keyboard, the white back light LEDs come on such that you do not need to stop your work. Smart enough - isn’t it?
