No matter whoever you are- irrespective of gender, financial status, taste and country, Cars are loved by all. Racing cars have always been a fascination for some and obsession for others. I remember reading a book from Eric Maria Remarque, Heaven Has No Favorites and there, one character was particularly engraved in my mind- the life of a car racer. Today, I am going to talk about those men on the road who challenge the winds when on full swing. No wonder, I am talking about my choice of 15 best sports cars of late.

I know that, some things are unattainable (mainly because of the price tag to which we laugh) for most of us. Sports car is a category where we find that relevant. But at the same time, we appreciate them too. Probably that is where a racing car races away from any other selfish issues and claims a worldful of admirers.

1. Barabus TKR

Let’s start with the fastest car of the world (officially). I know that there are scope of controversies for the fastest car in the world. I am not going into it.

Barabus officially unveiled the TKR- a new 1005 horsepower super car. The automaker says it is capable of doing zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. What’s more, the car reportedly has a top speed of 270 mph.
The car has a full carbon fibre body and chassis.

Price: It will be sold for $500,000

2. ArashCars AF10

Arash Sportscar was born out of the passion for cars, the enchantment of beauty and the thrill for speed…

That is how Arashcars have described themselves. And rightly so. If you look at AF10, you can not but nod to their philosophy. This awesome sportscar features a 7L V8 engine with 530 BHP, and the body is made from carbon fibre (so that next time you don’t have to worry about Ferrari and Porsches). The car has a staggering a pickup of 0-60 miles in just 3.4 seconds! Its top speed is 204 MPH.

Price: $290,000 ONLY!

3.  Pagani Zonda R

It is the new one from Pagani Zonda. It has a 7.3 litre V12 engine that produces a massive 750 Bhp!

Price: $2.6 million. Yes you heard me right. and it is terribly and hilariously overpriced.

4. Mercedes Benz SLR Mclaren

We can not leave Merc behind when the category is luxury sports cars, no?

So here it is.

0-60 mph: 3.6 seconds

5. Ferrari F430 Scuderia

This is a scary-fast, insanely competent (0 to 60 in 3.5 sec), sexy purebred that makes operatic engine sounds unlike any other. The engine power is 4.3-liter, 503-hp V8.

Price: $277,456

6. 1.SSC Ultimate Aero

257 mph+, 0-60 in 2.7 secs. Twin-Turbo V8 Engine with 1183 hp. Tested in March 2007 by Guinness world records, The SSC Ultimate Aero has been the fastest car in the world before Barbus came into the picture. If looks could kill, Ultimate Aero would have been a serial killer.

Price: $654,400.

7. Bugatti Veyron

253 mph+, 0-60 in 2.5 secs. Aluminum, Narrow Angle W16 Engine with 1001 hp. Has been in the circuit for some time and is now one of world’s fastest cars on road.

Price: $1,444,000

8. Koenigsegg CCX

250 mph+, 0-60 in 3.2 secs. 90 Degree V8 Engine 806 hp. Made in Sweden, it is expected to take #1 spot in the future and with such killer looks and awesome aero dynamic design, I don’t doubt it either.

Price: $695,000

9. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

248 mph+, 0-60 in 3.2 secs. Twin Turbo All Aluminum V8 Engine with 750 hp. Smooth and for bad guys or gals who want to dominate wild horses. It will make you want to show it off non-stop.

Price: $555,000

10. McLaren F1

240 mph+, 0-60 in 3.2 secs. BMW S70/2 60 Degree V12 Engine with 627 hp,. Check out the doors, they looks like bat wings, maybe Batman need to order one and paints it black.

Price: $970,000

11. Jaguar XJ220

217 mph+, 0-60 in 4.0 secs. Twin Turbo V6 Engine with 542 hp,  Made in 1992, this car still got what it takes to make the list and yes when its Jaguar, you can rely on its hotwheels.

Price: $345,000.

12. Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

213 mph+, 0-60 in 3.3 secs. V12 Engine with 640 hp, Nice piece of art, the design is very round and smooth. Unless its Lamborghini or Porshe. you don’t really find the race attractive no?

13. Porsche Carrera GT

209 mph+, 0-60 in 3.9 secs. Aluminum, 68 Degree, Water Cooled V10 Engine with 612 hp. Without Porsche in this list, we can not actually complete this list.

14. Audi R8

he limited-production R8 midengine supercar is as thrilling to drive as it is to behold. In addition to its 420-horsepower V-8 and impressive performance pedigree, it’s remarkably comfortable-riding and easy to drive in town if you don’t mind being slowed down by admirers in surrounding cars.
