Are we going to live long? Even though God is not willing to answer to this eternal quest of humankind here is this instrument who thinks otherwise. With its help, you can tell if you have cancer or multiple sclerosis in just 15 minutes, that too being at home. Seems unbelievable but believe it now. A group of scientists from University of Leeds have claimed that their new technology will do such wonders with precision.

Reportedly, they have successfully implemented a bio-sensor technology that uses antibodies to detect bio-markers (molecules in the human body which are often a marker for disease)

For example, the protein PSA (prostate specific antigen) frequently appears at elevated levels in men who have prostate cancer. With the Leeds team’s new device, however, prostate cancer screening would become much easier.

Professor Séamus Higson, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Biosciences, Cranfield Health, and one of the partners within the ELISHA (Electro-Immunointerfaces and Surface Nanobiotechnology: A Heterodoxical Approach) program says:

The speed of response this technology offers will be of great benefit to early diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, and will permit testing in de-localised environments such as GP’s surgeries.
