Do you want to change the brightness of your mobile phone display? Do you need some help in installing the games or applications on your Samsung mobile phone? Is the sound level too low even in max volume shown by your device? Do you want to reset your mobile? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, you must read this article. Here comes the secrets.

1. To install games and applications from PC to Phone via PC Studio

Step 1 : Download Softic PPP from this URL
Step 2 : Install it on your PC.
Step 3 : When running Softic PPP, you can see that there is a icon of softic ppp on sys tray. Right click on the icon, goto settings, another window will appear with some tabs, goto Bluetooth/Serial, select all the ports showing there & click ok.
Step 4 : Download JAVAUploader.exe from this URL.
Step 5 : Goto this site, search supported games & softwares for E250 & download both .jar & .jad file. If you don’t have .jad file you can download Jadmaker. Java uploader selects *.jad files so to convert jar to jad use jadmaker.
Step 6 : Activate bluetooth of your handset, and activate softic ppp from sys tray icon.
Step 7 : Run Uploader.exe; add .jad file of downloaded software of game.
Step 8 : Type *#52828378# on your handset, you will get a menu of Java Test.
Step 9 : Goto “OTA type settings” & change it from GPRS bearer to Serial bearer.
Step 10 : Goto “Serial test”, there first option is ‘PPP UP’ save this option to Bluetooth & goto the very next option ‘Serial Download’ and your download will start.
Step 11 : After completing download your mobile will take an auto restart, if it does not happen then restart your mobile manually [do it everytime after installing each software].
Step 12 : After completing all downloads change the ‘OTA type settings’ from Serial bearer to GPRS bearer.

If you don’t have Bluetooth you can do use USB to connect your device to your computer. Follow these steps after Step 5 stated above.
Step 6 : Put your phone’s USB settings to Modem Mode.
Step 7 : Now press *#52828378#, Java Test Menu opens up. Go to 1. OTA type settings select Serial Bearer OTA.
Step 8 : Completely exit Softtick and Connect your phone to PC(Via USB).
Step 9 : Now restart Softtick & in Bluetooth/Serial select all ports : (MOST IMP. STEP)
Step 10 : Open Java uploder and select your games or app.
Step 11 : Press *#52828378# again goto 3. Serial Test then to 1. Select Bluetooth then 2. Serial Download. Now it will start receiving data and the apps/games will be installed.

2. To increase Volume Levels more than what you can do with your phone

Step 1 : Put code *#8999*8378# in your Samsung Mobile
Step 2 : Select 2nd option (audio settings)
Step 3 : In this menu select the 13th option.
Step 4 : Select the RX option and put the corresponding level. The levels are described below.
level 1=180 to 300
2=238 to 450
3=280 to 600
4=345 to 850
5=395 to 1150
6=452 to 1500
7=530 to 1750
8=650 to 2000
9=760 to 2600

13=1480 to 4200
14=1850 to 7500

You can increase the volume as much you like to make your phone scream.

3. JAVA Reset

Key in *2767*JAVA# to reset Java and delete all Java Midlets. To type JAVA you need to press in this sequence 5 for J, 2 for A, 8 for V and 2 again for A. That means you have to type *2767*5282# to reset JAVA. Similarly to reset Media and delete all sounds and pics type *2767*MEDIA#. I think you can guess the code.

4. Change LCD Brightness

Just Key in *#8999*523# and see the magic.

5. Reset Your Phone (Use with Caution)

Typing *2767*CUST# resets the custom EEPROM and *2767*FULL will reset the full EEPROM.

At last, I want to say that these codes aren’t tested to all Samsung Models. So, if something goes wrong please don’t blame me! However you can share your experience with us.
