5 Reasons why Sony Bravia LCD TV series rules over Samsung and LG
By soumitra, Gaea News NetworkTuesday, March 3, 2009
It seems that there is a real war to capture the market of LCD HDTVs with competitors like Sony, Samsung, LG and others. But the prize seems to be going to Sony. Its Bravia series of LCD TVs are really making a business. Lets discover the reasons behind this
1. Brand Reputation
ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW
Over the years Sony has built a brand value by continuously delivering the best performers. This factor seems to take Sony one leap ahead of others in this competition. It is a fact that people can blindly rely on Sony about the quality.
2. HD Capability

Most of the Sony Bravia LCD TVs are Full HD capable with 1920X1080 pixel resolution. This is a must for modern viewing trends. Ask everyone, they will respond that in Bravia you will never miss a corner of the HD Movie you are viewing.
3. Color Accuracy

With its accurate color reproduction by 10 bit processing in 10bit panel, the Bravia produces real clear, crisp and stronger vibrant colors without being over saturated. Also the x.v color technology, ensures that there is smooth color to color transition.
4. No blur on Moving objects

Generally LCD TVs show blurriness when producing moving pictures. But Bravia’s Motionflow technology recreates the pictures such a way that you won’t feel the blurriness when viewing Games, DVD’s or TV.
5. Contrast Ratio, Response time and other factors

Bravia with its super fast response time and a high contrast ratio is a real treat to watch. The power requirements are also the lowest among the other competing brands. Though almost everyone buy a home theatre system with their LCD TV, Bravias are equipped with not only good but great sound reproduction mechanism, so that you don’t need to buy a home theatre in addition.

If you want my advice, when you are puzzled with the same or nearly same configuration and features when choosing from various Brands, choose Bravia. They have the best overall image quality - and that’s what you want - not the hectic terms like contrast ratio or response time!
If you are wondering about the meaning of Bravia, it is just the abbreviation for “Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture.”!

1. Brand rep: Sony’s rep has dropped substantially. The market leader for TVs is currently Samsung. 2. Most sets do full 1080p nowadays. 3. Bravia screens by sony have a max contrast ratio of 100,000:1. That is why they look faded compared to samsung screens. 4. High end Sony Bravia TVs actually use Samsung panels!!! HAHA!! 5. Sony has the lowest response time out of all the manufacturers. Naturally this is because Samsung provided them with older panels! 6. Look at the Samsung 8 series LCD. 5,000,000:1 contrast ratios, blacks blacker than space itself!!! So funny to see chumps still clinging to sony!!! |

Bravia sucks! I’ve had a PS3 connected to a Sumsung, a Toshiba, and a Sony bravia, and the worst picture quality was on the Sony! Not to mention the annoying Auto-Dimming feature that you can’t turn off! (Basically if you are playing a game on your PS3 and most of the in-game scene is dark, the entire screen dimms, and if you get to a scene where its brighter, the screen brightens up again! Its annoying and it makes the dark scenes much darker for no good reason!) My Advice: Samsung, Toshiba, or even Sharp Aqous, avoid Sony Bravias!! |

Bravia sucks, you must be reviewing higher-end twice-as-expensive models, because so far I’ve owned and connected a PS3 to: A Toshiba HDTV, a Sumsung HDTV, and a Sony Bravia HDTV. And guess what? The Sony gives the worst quality, plus its weird auto-dimming feature that you can’t turn off (basically, if you are playing a first person shooter on your PS3 and walk into a dark room, the entire screen dimms, and then when you walk into a lighter room, it brightens up again .. the most annoying feature I can remember in any TV I’ve ever bought!) And trying to turn it off in the options doesn’t work. My Advice: get a Sumsung, it works better even with Sony’s own PS3! |

Wow i bought a Sony Bravia KDL 40w4000 at the same date as my dad bought his Samsung. they where both the same price. I must say that the desing of the Sony is way nicer but if you go and look to the Functions of Perfecting the QP the Samsung is Way more advanced with the Edge corrector and stuf like that. Sony is way more Blurry BTW and to expensive so i went back to the MEDIA MARKET and told them my story.. They sed True.. if you want a Bravia with the same quality as the samsung your dad bought than you have to pay atleast the double from what you now did. Thats Why i hate sony and i got a samsung. Sony the love is over. |
