It seems that Google is getting ready with Gingerbread in a pursuit to become the best Mobile OS beating iPhone OS, Windows Phone 7 and many other competitors in the scenario.ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW
According to the latest Web-based rumor, Android Gingerbread will be Google’s latest version of the Android OS. It is expected to reach Nexus One devices by the end of this month. The update should be available over the air for the current generation of Android mobile phones.
1GHZ CPU is touted to be the minimum hardware requirements for Android 3.0 devices along with 512MB or RAM and displays from 3.5″ and higher. It will also support new 1280760 resolution for the devices with displays of 4″ and higher.
The user interface is reported to be completely revamped for user friendliness. A new screen-off animation, video chat, VoIP support and many other improvements are waiting to be seen with this upgrade.
The Android 3.0 is also expected to include the Google’s music services so that your Android 3.0 handset can stream music from your home computer over the air.
Russian podcast “Digestiv” of Mobile-reviews.com’s Edlar Murtazin. According to him, user interface shells as the HTC Sense, MotoBlur, etc. will be needed in the new OS. All shell’s functionalities is supposed to have been included in the Android 3.0 Gingerbread operating system.
