It might be a news of disappointment for the people going crazy over iPad, claimed to be a revolutionary creation of Apple. It’s now confirmed that neither you can purchase iPad, nor you can make a pre-order for it, atleast for three months. I know, you are pondering over the reason.

Well, here it comes. Apple is waiting for the approval from The Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The specs on the iPad page mention the lack of FCC approval in such a tiny print that may overlook. You might be astonished at Apple doing this. But, I want to share one thing with you. Apple has done this earlier with iPhone. They had announced iPhone sixth month before it was available.

FCC has no direct conflict with Apple. Recently they have commended Apple for reversing its policy against VOIP calling over AT&T’s 3G network, that made iPhone and iPad to be used as web phones.

Meanwhile, Apple has come forward to make the situation clear. Authorities made a statement saying that some features and applications of the iPad will not be available in all areas. “Application availability and pricing are subject to change. This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.”

In short, iPads sold in one area will differ in features and app prices from iPads sold in another area.

FCC maintains a transparent policy for giving approval to electronic devices. The agency doesn’t interfere with other wireless equipment, operating over large network, or causing radiation problem to people.

iPhone got approval about a month after Apple announced it. Likewise, Apple is expecting iPad to get approval asap, provided there is no more hiccup. It’ll be nice to see another apple falling from tree!
