best-digital-cameraThe Christmas is not very far away and if you want to purchase a digital camera this Christmas, you should better start the research now to get the best digital camera available in the market. If you have already invested some time to find the digital camera of your choice you must have been puzzled by the numerous geeky terms like megapixels, optical zooms and some features like HD Video, image stabilization, face detection, red eye removal etc. Understanding of these terms will make you more puzzled than you ever were because you’ll find a wide variety of models having different blending of these factors and you’ll be hard pressed to find the best digital camera of your choice. But if you don’t have the time to research thoroughly, don’t worry, we have done it for you and here is the list of the best digital cameras according to the different consumers.

Best Digital Camera with Best Image Quality

FujiFilm FinePix F200 EXR

Yes, FujiFilm won’t come as the first name when you are trying to choose a digital camera but we couldn’t help ourselves but give this camera the top place ahead of many other compact digital cameras of the giant camera manufacturers like Nikon and Canon. The overall design of this camera is very common and decent and it comes with a nice 28-140mm Fujinon lens with 5X Optical Zoom and you can bag the camera well under $400. But this is not what it takes the camera to the top position. The deciding factor is its top notch 12MP CCD Sensor which has the best dynamic range and low light sensitivity which makes it ahead of its competitors by dozens. The dynamic range of the camera is seriously improved by a new technology called pixel binning or pixels fusion mode. This easy to use compact camera with fantastic simulation modes is only let down by the lack of HD Video capability which makes us to look for another digital camera which is described below.

Best Digital Camera with HD Video Capability

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3

The FujiFilm FinePix F200 EXR may get you the best image quality for a compact camera but its 5X optical zoom or poor video quality may not prove to be sufficient for some. This is why we have chosen the Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 which has a 25-300mm equivalent 12X zoom lens and also packs in HD Video capability in extremely smooth high quality AVCHD format that can rival any decent camcorder. The price tag of under $400 doesn’t make it quite a cheap camera but the features and the image quality of the camera are well enough to give you the value for money. But if you still need a cheaper option we have searched a budget option for you which is described just under.

Best Budget Digital Camera

Kodak EasyShare M1033 (Black)

If you have some $400 to spend on a digital camera, you can get some good digital cameras like FujiFilm FinePix F200EXR or Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 but if you have a budget under $200, there will be too few options to choose from digital cameras which have decent image quality. In this price range our recommended camera is the Kodak EasyShare M1033 Black which has enough image quality with its 10MP Sensor and 3X Optical Zoom Lens. You’ll be highly satisfied with its daylight shots without creating a hole in your pocket. But you may find its Optical Zoom too low shoot any distant object closely. In that case you may need one of the cameras with ultrazoom capabilities ranging 20X levels. Canon Powershot SX1 IS is one of those cameras described below.

Best Ultrazoom Digital Camera

Canon Powershot SX1 IS

If you need a really powerful camera with zoom featuring in the 20X range, true 1920 X 1080p video recording capability and good sized high resolution 10MP Sensor, there are not too many cameras like the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS. The 20X zoom lens is optically stabilized and has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 28 to 560mm. Though it has very good image quality through its larger sensor, still it can’t match up with the quality of a real DSLR Camera. If you want the best DSLR camera, here is it, the Nikon D300.

Best Digital SLR Camera

Nikon D300

True photographers won’t never be satisfied with the image quality or the range of controls that a compact digital camera can ever offer. A DSLR like D300 can only meet their expectations or sometimes it may even outdo their expectations. It’s 12.3MP DX format CMOS Sensor, 8 fps continuous shooting with battery grip or 51 point autofocus with 3D subject tracking are some notable features to say the least about the camera. If you have the money to spend, your $1700 will not be wasted on a camera like this.

I bought this camcorder Sanyo VPC-FH1 for about 6 months now, I am getting better everyday.
I am happy with its qualifty for video and photo.
I set it up manually with Shutter Priority S:60 or 125 (Aperture & ISO will be on Auto)
The rest is not that important, either ON or OFF…
The minimum shutter speed 1/60s is required for day and night video at walking speed objects, or
1/125s for sport events…Stereo sound recording live is excellent for concert…
