With a slew of other iPods and the 5th gen iPod Nano, Apple has launched its latest iPod Touch with 64GB built-in memory priced at $399 with two other models of 32GB priced at $299 and a 8GB model priced at $199. None of them got the most expected camera in it but the 64GB and 32GB models got a faster processor with upto 50% improvement in performance. When asked why it did not have a camera, the answer was that they want to market this as a gaming device and cut down the price to an affordable range to target more audience but we expect that there were some hardware issues with the camera. May be we should wait for the next year to see an iPod touch with camera which will be called a revolution!

Apple has done it yet again. They are now out with their latest iPod Ranges which they call the fifth generation ones. While the basic structure of the interface remains the same with same functions located at same place in same font, same music, video, photo, sound quality, but there seems to be some changes in the hardware side. Most interesting of them all is that the iPod Nano gets a camera that can shoot videos. There are also minor tweaks which makes it a more perfect device to enhance your entertainment experience. Yeah, we are a fan of those Archos PMPs and here is a leak about their latest Tablets that we were eagerly waiting for. The device is going to be announced on September 15th and some retailers have already flashed some details on their websites. These Android Powered devices will be available in two versions : one with flash based storage and another with HDD based storage. The flash based storage units will have capacities of 16 GB and 32 GB and will be priced at $294 and $370 respectively. The HDD models will have capacities of 160Gb and 500GB and will be priced at $320 and $420 respectively. I am waiting for the 500 GB PMP anyway.

SanDisk Sansa gets a boost, gets upgraded with a microSD slot and a +.  That means, Sansa Clip is now Sansa Clip+ and more importantly, with this enhanced storage slot its all the more effective, cheaper and affordable alternative to unusually high priced and sophisticated iPods. I thought Zune HD would be a nice competitor to iPod Touch but it seems that Microsoft’s modified Media Player will outdo iPod Touch in several respects. Other than delivering one of the richest music experience on a portable device, Zune HD also delivers nice Web Browsing Experience. Personally, I will rank this Web Browser just after the iPhone’s safari Browser. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team did a nice job to make the browser brisk and spiffy. The screen also rotates and reorients itself as you hold it which seems just like the iPhone. The Nvidia Tegra Processor is also apt at rendering the pages as quickly as you can think of. Warning : Listening to music in an iPod is addictive and can be dangerous for your ears.
