Dell XPS lineup was one of my recommended series of multimedia laptops and there are now some more reasons to be a fan of the XPS Series as they have come up with some new models that boast NVIDIA graphics, HD webcams and JBL audio. The laptops may seem a little cumbersome compared to Macbook Air which came into the market a few days before but the Dell fans would be quite delighted to have XPS lineup with 14, 15 and 17-inch options for display sizes.ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW
Peeping into internal parts of the device will satisfy anyone looking to buy a laptop at the base price of $899. The new series has processor of Intel Core i5 460M, 4GB of RAM, GeForce 420M Graphics cards from Nvidia which will give you 3D support. Intel WiDi pack is there with Blu-ray drives along with 500GB hard drives. The laptops have backlit keyboards and polished aluminum corners. If you can afford a little more, you can upgrade the i5 to i7 processor at $949.
The device reminds us of the new Dell Inspirons as they have got a wider battery base. But, instead of traditional plastic coating, the lids give a modern look of anodized aluminum. The weights of these devices are not too light as the 14-inch weighs 5.35 pounds, and the 17-incher is 7.57pounds. Lots of other facilities are there such as a 720p webcam which is one of the few which is being certified by Skype. There are enough USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports available to connect your accessories along with an HDMI 1.4 port. The speakers available are JBL speakers giving a crisp sound with high accuracy.
