Here’s an interesting Japanese compact dictionary, SII’s SR-G9001. It’s your typical black and white ( 5.2” VGA screen) dictionary with many different volumes (30 in total) ranging from standard, to language and technical.

Fairly normal so far, BUT there’s a catch, it can be linked to a PC, and proprietary software allows access its data base and word search directly from a PC (PC only). I like the idea of a connected dictionary and would like to see other manufacturers follow this example.
