Only last week we did a review on a notebook that had Viewing-angle Image Control Display (VIC) technology from LG to restrict viewing to only one person letting not others to peep in. This week they have turned 180 degree and brought out a product that has Double-sided Reflective Display. It means, if you and your wife had a tiff a little while ago and now you both want to watch the same movie from a dvd then you don’t need to sit cozy and watch. Sit at the opposite ends of the lappy and watch the movie (I recomment making up, though). But its good for sports freaks. Sit on the opposite sides of the laptop and watch your teams battling out. No eye contacts, no rush of blood. Be safe.

Specification

Enough of nonsense, let’s discuss some serious issues

  • It is an ECB-mode and normally-white type LCD display.
  • The pixel count is of (512 × RG) × (384 × BW).
  • Its aperture ratio =46%
  • Reflectance ratio =20%
  • Color gamut =12%
  • Contrast Ratio is 14:1.

Its still a technology concept at a very early stage. We will have to wait till its gets really sharp. For now, LG, keep exploring all the ends.
