Google CEO Eric Schmidt to be The First CTO of US? Obama will Decide
By Soumya Sinha, Gaea News NetworkTuesday, October 21, 2008
Nothing succeeds like Eric Schmidt. Yes, you can very well change the proverb. Because this man, apart from being Google’s CEO and a member of Apple’s board of directors, can very well be the first Chief Technology Officer of USA. Trust Obama to take the decision if he becomes the next US president. Eric has been an informal adviser to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
Here are some co-incidences that I will like to highlight
ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW- Right before he paid his first visit to Google, Barack Obama said, he will like to have a new post as Chief Technology Officer if he comes into power.
- Obama has said that he is pro net-neutrality, which would benefit Google
- Google employees have donated nearly half a million dollars to Obama’s campaign, and a mere $20,600 to John McCain as of last week of August.
Upon asking, Eric Schmidt said he is too busy with Google and Obama didn’t reply anything. Though we are not speculating. Too many co incidences are what we are bothered about. But anyway, with Bill Gates almost retiring from tech world and Steve Jobs busy in preparing slimmer and smaller Apple products, Eric Schmidt is just the deserved person.
G-Obama!
