HP Slate 500 finally official at a price $799

It’s time to wake up and give you a pinch as the HP Slate is finally official at the price of $799. But the Windows 7 Slate is finally launched in the market in a different manner. HP may have intentionally changed the motive and is now targeting the business firms and business markets. Whatever it may be, you can still get it on the official website of HP for $799.

The HP Slate runs on Intel Atom Z540 processor with a clock speed of 1.86GHz, with 2GB of RAM and 64GB SSD and for handling 1080p video, Broadcom’s Crystal HD accelerator is packed within it. The HDMI-out port is included in the dock for enabling you to view the movies in big screen.
Possessing a capacitive touchscreen of 8.9-inch, the Slate is having Windows 7 Professional environment, but it has got the facility of a Wacom active digitizer which will be helpful for taking notes. It is having a VGA cam which is facing front and a 3 megapixel camera on the other side. The Slate gives a durable feel as the metal edges are quite smooth and back is coated with rubber. The weight is quite light at about 1.5-pound to make it easily portable. There is also a USB port, jacks for headphone with the resolution 1024 x600 of capacitive screen providing a quality output within Windows7.
A 720p video playback can be seen by Broadcom graphics accelerator. The battery backup is about five hours. This Slate truly brings a difference in the market as sets its mark a level higher than the other Slates which came into limelight a few weeks ago.
