HTC HD7 Vs Desire HD: A Comparison

Europeans can now have the choice of two great smart phones to pick up from as HTC HD7 and Desire HD will be introduced to their markets on October 21. We have lined up a quick comparison between these two mobile phones from the same house.

The HD7 got the finest version of Windows Phone 7 and on the other hand Desire HD got Froyo, the latest version of Android launched by Google.

The HTC has a camera covered with a mini door like feature which provides extra security but HD has protruding camera which assures better picture. The Desire HD has an 8 mega pixel camera sensor which is much better than 5 mega pixel of HD7.

The HTC has a shining sexy black body whereas Desire proudly presents a matt finished skin. The Desire has a broader body than HD7. The HD7, though, has a wider screen. The HD has a wider battery as well than that of Desire.

The Desire weighs almost same with HD7 at 164gm over its 162gms. Desire has color variations with black and brown whereas HD7 has stuck with only black.

Desire HD supports Java application via third party supports. HTC got the application with MIDP 2.0. Both the phones got A-GPS support but HTC got Bing maps too with the A-GPS support.

Desire has longer running talk time at 2G which is 9 hours and 15 minutes here HTC lags much behind with just 6 hours and 20 minutes at 2G. Desire at 3G gives a rated talk time of 5 hours 30 minutes and HD7 gives 5 hours 20 minutes at 3G. However, the difference is very marginal at 3G.
