iPhone has so many apps. But there are some which are absolutely necessary, some which are not and some make you scream, ” Why did I buy it!”. We have already written an articles about 23 killer iPhone apps. Now is the time to find out the good, bad and the ugly. Here are the iPhone apps which stood out as the best, the worst and the coolest iPhone apps till date.

The Best: File Magnet

ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW

File Magnet is a great app that I use to read PDF’s and text docs with. This app also has a companion app for your desktop where you can drag files to it for download to the iPhone at anytime. It is as simple as that.  When files are moved to the File Magnet app, the next time you turn on your iPhone and launch File Magnet, the files are wirelessly sucked into the iPhone.

There are different categories like cool photos, secret plans etc. You can use it everyday.

Price

It is a $4.99 app but it is a true value for everyday. Enjoy!

The Worst: Hold Button

I mean why is it there? Is it some kind of a sick PJ from iPhone app maker? Hold button to test what? Our thumb strength for Chris’sake!

Do not download it please. I was never bothered to find any download link either. Its just there. see, laugh, forget.

The Coolest: iDream

There can be many problems as in, on which basis should we choose the coolest app. Well I am a music lover. I live music rather. So I go for iDream. The app comes with 25 stereo sounds which are specially designed to provide a calm environment for sleeping, napping, or just relaxing.

When you launch the app, you’re presented with a list of ambiences to choose from. To start listening, choose an ambience and press Dream. A timer can be set under Settings which will stop the track from playing.

Loops included are:

  • Campfire
  • Country Meadow
  • Country Stables
  • Galleon
  • Gentle Ocean
  • Harbour
  • Hurricane
  • Log Cabin
  • Mangrove Swamp
  • Mountain Stream
  • Ocean Night
  • Pine Forest
  • Quiet Night
  • Rafting
  • Rainforest
  • Rockie Mountains
  • San Francisco
  • Serengeti
  • Severe Thunderstorm
  • Snow Walk
  • Spiritual Sounds
  • Train Ride

For me the coolest iPhone app released in the last 6 months is FastMall which includes turn by turn directions from store to restroom to food at most of the largest shopping malls around the US, Canada and UK all without using GPS. You can shake your iphone and locate the nearest bathroom then be taken to it! Find sales, deals, coupons, remember where you parked, write lists to remember what to buy, post status on facebook and twitter, check in at malls, stores, review just about anything, video review anything, recalculate your trip using elevators only (amazing feature for moms with strollers or anyone in a wheelchair and much more which is unreal and FREE…this may be the best app of all time for the masses.
