Is Google Branded Chrome OS Launching This Month?

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — Its being heard that Google Barnded Chrome OS will be launched within this month. Digitimes cites sources from “component players” who say that the smart books with Google OS i.e. Google’s another Operating System will be available later this month. The Taiwanese rumor rag says that Google is going to follow its Nexus One strategy and will launch the first self branded Chrome OS notebook.

The first Chrome OS Notebook is going to be manufactured by Inventec. The ARM based machine will not be sold through retail channels and only about 60,000 to 70,000 units will be available commercially. Later, HP and Acer are expected to follow the trails. Notebooks with the Chrome OS will be released by HP and Acer within December. ASUS is expected to be the third player as it will take the advantage to measure the market.

Although, there has been no official announcement of the release of Google Chrome OS but we are looking forward for an official announcement soon. Truly speaking if all of these are true a Google Press invite would be the most expected event.
