keep-in-touchHave you thought that there should be a device that can be used to communicate to the elders who are not that much tech-savvy to read e-mail or Skype. Perhaps you never thought, or have thought but never tried to put your idea into existence. Well, Bob Kummerfeld did not go that way. The Associate Professor of School of Information Technology, University of Sydney has come up with a device through which you can send voice message over the internet and yet it is so simple that a little child who can’t even read can use it to share his activities with his grandmother. How does it work?
The Keep in Touch interface uses images of family members which the user touches to activate a microphone and record a message. Once completed, user can press send and the message is carried over the Internet to the recipient who can view it on their PC or Keep in Touch device. When the receiver comes to the device they can see a little envelop below the sender’s picture and by touching that they can hear the message. Isn’t it simple?
