600-00177167nNEW YORK (GaeaTimes) — Do you use your laptop by keeping it on your laps? From now on refrain from this habit as a recent study has suggested that continuous using a laptop by keeping on laps might cause infertility in males.

A recent study by Yelim Sheynkin, a urologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook has revealed the fact that nearly one out of six couples is facing problem while conceiving and most of these problems are due to male infertility.

These problems are surmounted by the fact that millions and million of men unknowingly use laptops by keeping in their laps and inevitably they fall in the reproductive age group. In a male reproductive system, the position of the testicles is outside the body so that the testicular temperature is cooler than that of inside the body, which helps in the production of sperm.

If you work on your laptop by keeping it on your laps the scrotum gets overheated and this could damage the sufficient production of sperm. Research suggests that warming the scrotum even more than 1 degree Celsius is enough to damage the sperm. A lap pad is not the solution to the problem, even if you sit with your legs spread wide and place the laptop on large lap pad, then also it will take 30 minutes to overheat the scrotum.

The solution to the problem is simple. Just keep your laptop on the desk while using it.
