NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — LG Ally is running over ver. 2.1 of the Android OS. Meanwhile, it is reported that Ally will be getting Froyo 2.2 OS upgrade in coming February. Powered by 600 Mhz processor, a touch phone with side out slide full QWERTY keyboard, the handset has 3.2 inch TFT display which offers 800480 pixel resolution along with 262,000 color support. Measuring 4.562.220.62 inches, the device sports numbers of popular features including built in camera, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB port, Wi-Fi, mini-phone 3.5 mm headphone jack etc.


Ally features 3.2 MP camera with automatic focus adjustment and LED light for user to snap images/videos with. In addition of Google talk, LG Ally being an Android device, also has integrated numbers of popular Google mobile apps as well including Google Search, You Tube and Gmail. And, similar to numbers of other Android devices, Ally also has social networking integration syncing user’s contacts from Twitter and Facebook with his Google Contacts.

Ally offers up to 7.5 hours of talk time and 20.8 days of standby time. In US, Verizon wireless is currently offering the handset for $99.99 with two year contract. However, those who want to get the device without contract, they can get it by shelling a hefty $369.99.
