LG has come out with a really really appreciable feature in their new product, a 14.1 inch LCD panel stylish laptop with Viewing-angle Image Control Display (VIC) technology.

I am a frequent traveller. And with my own lappy while touring, I find it really annoying when the person beside me peeks in my screen when I am typing out a serious and important document for my office that I can’t afford to type at some other time because I don’t have that much time. So I always wanted this technology to be ushered in to laptops too. Thanks to LG.

What is this VIC?

It simply prevents people sitting next to the user from seeing information on the screen by narrowing the angle of visibility from the screen. The panel offers a 175-degree viewing angle that could be adjusted to 60 degrees, rapidly limiting the viewing visibility to just 30 centimeters from the edges of the screen.

LG has high hopes for it and so have we. Let’s see what future holds.
