Maingear targets mid-range PC gamers with Alt-15 and Alt-17 laptops

Maingear has now unveiled its curtain to mid range PC gamers with the Alt-15 and Alt-17. Just a month ago it made news for the smaller twin gaming laptops. Now, these two high end notebooks are with the NVIDIA’s Optimus graphics-switching technology which helps to increase the battery life, when there is no need for a GPU boost.


The Alt-15 and Alt-17 come with the 15.6 inch (LCD) and 17.3 inch (LCD) widescreen and 19201080 16:9 HD resolutions respectively. The Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Mobile processors are in the two systems along with the Memory of up to 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1066MHz. The Operating System (OS) loaded in both the Netbooks are Genuine Windows 7 Home, Professional / Ultimate 64-Bit.

As these two Netbooks are specially designed for the gamers, it expected to have a HD graphics with better sound impact with the Integrated High-Definition Audio system. Moreover, it gives you the longest possible battery backup with its switchable graphics option.

The common specifications of Alt-15 and Alt-17 are as follows:

With one to three years of hardware warranty, Alt-15 costs $1,049 and Alt-17 pinches your pocket with $1,099. Both the Netbooks are user friendly and can be termed as a new innovation better technology for gamers.
