San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) - Maytag dishwasher recall is announced by Whirlpool Corp June 3, 2010 which involves about 1.7 million dishwaters to be recalled by the organization. The hazard that caused the company to recall its product is indicated as the liquid rinse aid can leak from the dispenser and come into contact with the dishwasher’s internal wiring. This leaking can lead to short circuit and ignition potential which may pose a serious fire hazard. The Consumer Protection Safety Commission requested the customers who own the affected models should immediately stop using them. They can either unplug them or should shut off the circuit breaker that controls them.
