NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Micromax, the India based mobile phone manufacturer has recently unveiled its much touted Android mobile at a bloggers meet in the capital. The company which has become the third largest mobile handset manufacturer in India in terms of sales despite a late entry in the market is doing really well and it has created a market for itself even among the urban consumers. Micromax has hit the bull’s eye because it has managed to strike the perfect balance between quality and pricing of its models. Not many entry level mobile manufacturers in India have been able to pack in Android in their handsets so far and this handset is likely to appeal to a lot of buyers. The model named Andro A60 has been packed with Google Android 2.1 Eclair. It has a full Touch screen and is powered by a CPU running at 600 MHz speed. The company will start selling the model in India from next month and the price is expected to be around INR 8000.

Micromax’s Android phone Andro A60, however, has a low resolution of 320×240 which may not please the gadget freaks but those who are looking for an entry level touch screen phone will find it a worthy option. The phone also has 3G capability which makes it reasonably future proof.

The new Micromax Android phone also has wifi connectivity and GPS. The phone has an internal memory of 150 MB and support for 32 GB external memory. There is also a 3.2 Mp camera with auto focus, a step up from other Micromax models that usually have a 2 MP camera.
