NEC Unveils MultiSync EA222WMe: A LCD With High Green Quotient

It needs 52% less power compared with other NEC monitors and radiates much less heat as well. Even the packing used with the monitor is environment friendly. It consists of paper filler and recycled plastic. The monitor meets the stringent ENERGY STAR 5.0 standard which makes it an ideal buy for environmentally conscious people. Apart from that it is also compliant with EPEAT GOLD and TCO 5.0 protocols. It is the most eco friendly monitor from the stable of NEC till date.

The EA222WMe has some unique features like a carbon footprint meter and the electricity cost meter. This model has a widescreen 16: 10 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1680×1050. The connectivity options are aplenty with the presence of USB, DVI and VGA port. What’s more, the monitor also includes a multimedia speaker that produces nice sound. NEC has priced this monitor under $350.
