Nokia World Unveils N8 and other Symbian 3 Smartphones

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — Today world’s largest mobile manufacturer company Nokia has unveiled N8 at Nokia World, its global conference. Although it disappointed fans by not revealing the actual date of release of the new unit, gave enough hints about the forthcoming Meego operating system that will run N8.

The Meego operating system is believed to be the sharp weapon of Nokia as it will enable the company to pose challenge on Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android handsets.

As told by outgoing vice-president of the company Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia N8 would be “an entertainment powerhouse”. N8 is aimed at a large number of consumers. Some new and exclusive features of N8 includes Dolby sound and an HDMI port.

Nokia has also unleashed a host of smartphones that will run on Symbian 3 operating system. The mobile manufacturer, which already grab the first position as the worl’s largest company is hoping to go a long way with these new innovations.

Besides N8, C6 and C7 targeted at social networking are also announced at the Nokia World.
