By Soumya Sinha, Gaea News NetworkWednesday, October 22, 2008
India’s Reliance Communication has come up with free netbook with Wi-Fi plan for a monthly subscription basis. it is a big step taken by RIC because though widely discussed, no one until Reliance did it. In order to get a free netbook, consumers will need to sign a two-year deal for Reliance NetConnect that will cost about 1,500 rupees or $30 a month and currently runs on the older 1xRTT technologies.
Reliance has apparently partnered with Intel, Acer, Asus, HCL and Lenovo for the deal.
Though the price still seems a tad to much, we are eager to see, with this on effect, can Reliacne start one big movement in pushing notebook sells.
