LAS VEGAS (GaeaTimes.com)- Samsung has come up with a lot of products at the ongoing CES 2011 and among the HDTVs and digital cameras it has another contenders that has got the gadget lovers drooling over it. The new Series 9 laptop which has drop dead gorgeous looks has been launched to challenge the supremacy of Apple MacBook Air which is said to be the thinnest laptop in the world as of now. Samsung however is not the first company to unveil a Macbook Air challenger and the Dell Adamo was launched with the same purpose earlier. It has to be admitted that Samsung has brought out a really sleek and stylish ultra thin laptop that wins hands down in the looks department.ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW
The Samsung laptop 9 Series has rounded corners as opposed to the square shaped look of the MacBook Air and the rounded curves look nice. It is only 0.64 inches thick and weighs merely 3 pounds. The outer case is made of duralumin which according to Samsung is as good as Aluminum. The laptop also comes with loads of features for the users. The 13.3 inch LED backlit display has a brightness of 400 nits and it also has auto adjusting ambient light sensors. It runs on a beefy Intel Core i5-2537M processor which is based on Intel’s much touted Sandy Bridge platform. However, it is ULV series CPU. Samsung also bundles in a SSD and Windows 7 64 bit edition.
This Samsung laptop does not have an internal optical drive owing to its ultra slim design. The model will offer 6 plus hours of battery life. It will be priced around $1600.
