Well, may be not all, but most of the things you have heard about Samsung NX100 are true.ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOW
Samsung came up with it’s latest bid in the ILC (interchangeable-lens camera) market post the alleged leakage of photos of the same. Samsung NX100 will feature a 14.6 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that will serve all your daily needs in regard to quality photography with ease.
Samsung had always tried something new with their cameras and this time it’s a 3-inch VGA AMOLED display with 921,000 dots. The NX100 will succeed to Samsung’s last release in the series, the NX10. From the pictures itself I guess it is pretty much clear to you that this cam will for sure be way to sleeker, cooler and more efficient.
It is said to have been power-packed by a wide range of ISO. Along with the normal expectation of ISO ranging from 100 to 3200 NX100 will boast of a boost mode that will take it way higher upto around ISO 6400. Now, that’s interesting, isn’t it?
The camera will enable HD video recording at 30fps along with 720p in a preferable H.264 and MP4 format. That makes it quite a handy tool even when their is low-light.
Storage solutions will be provided by the SD/SDHC compatible card slot. No need to worry about how much memory will be served to you by the manufacturer as the card prices are going down.
Interestingly, the camera will flaunt an optional GPS10 module that will enable geo-tagging. The ‘ i-Function ‘ dedicated key will help you get the extra grip over the gadget and direct it according to your will and requisite. You will get the feeling the more you use the gadget. The basic advantage with the i-Function is that it will enable you to use one of the lens rings to adjust shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO sensitivity. There is also the Lens Priority capabilities that actually works in conjunction with the body and gives the liberty to choose among scene presets based on the lens’ characteristics.
Well, so far Samsung has decided upon offering a vivid selection of lenses for the NX100 that include a 60mm macro, 18-200mm telephoto, 20mm wide-angle pancake and a 20-50mm compact zoom.
Last, but definitely not the least, rather i would say the ice-breaker in the camera is the unique and innovative functionality ‘Sound Picture‘. This feature will help you store those precious moments along with the audio at the time when the picture is shot.
If you are keen on knowing a few dark facets of the NX100 then here is something to begin with. The trick that Samsung may be having in mind is providing a kit lens that has a 20-50mm focal length, this will decrease the initial cost, but later you will have to spend those extra bucks if you want to move on to greener pastures. Also it having a smaller range than the others, may not meet the expectations in terms of Image Stabilization.
