After the leaks of Omnia II aka GT-i800 and Omnia Pro aka B7610 Louvre, Samsung has officially unveiled their new Omnia Lineup of phones. Other than Omnia II and Omnia Pro the show also starred Omnia-inspired Jet (S8000), Omnia Lite (B7300) and also the Pixon 12 which runs on the same OS as Jet but has a dozen-megapixel camera under its hood. We have already discussed about the details of the Omnia II, Omnia Pro and Pixon 12, and here are the information of the two others : Omnia Lite and Jet.
Jet, as the name implies, is a handset that delivers the speed you need. It has a high speed 800 MHz CPU and a stunning 3.1 inch AMOLED WVGA resistive touchscreen display. (Of Course it had to be Resistive touchscreens as WinMo does not support capacitive touchscreens.) The 5 MP Camera with autofocus and LED Flash is snaps good quality pictures. Connectivity features include HSDPA, aGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP. Various audio and video formats are supported by this phone for best multimedia entertainment. However, I feel Android would be the best OS Choice for a device like this.

On the other hand, the Omnia Lite is a low to midrange Windows Mobile Phone which sports a 3 inch QWVGA resistive touchscreen. The phone is not one of the prettiest Windows Mobile Phones in the market and the display is really distinguishable from other Omnia Phones for the lack of its AMOLED display. The other features are common with HSDPA, WiFi, 3MP Camera. Internal memory of 256 MB will not be sufficient for your storage needs but a 32GB Micro SD Card will surely satisfy you.

This looks like a great phone, but has someone done a side by side comparison on saying what is the better out of this or the iphone? I really would like to know because I have an iphone and I love it to death. But if I am using the wrong phone I would like to know. |

This is the ultimate phone it is really awesome, I just wish that I could afford it, I just love the touch screen, but at the end of the day it would be a waste of time me having this phone as I don’t think that I would utilize all the features. Thanks for sharing all this information on the Omnia. |
