June 17th, 2009 Although Blue Earth is the first Solar Powered Mobile Phone from Samsung but they have launched Solar E1107 Crest which is going to be the first commercially available solar powered phone. The Samsung E1107 resembles E1100 in design and is basically a low end phone targeted at emerging markets.

April 1st, 2009 NEW DELHI - Samsung India Wednesday launched its full-touch slider phone, Samsung Ultra, and said it has partnered with the state-run telecom operators BSNL and MTNL to bundle phones for the third generation (3G) mobile services. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) rolled out 3G services and are bundling handsets with their services for which they have tied up with Samsung.

June 3rd, 2009 Who is going to be the first manufacturer to launch a 12MP camera phone? Sony Ericsson has already announced that Satio with its 12 MP camera will be available Q4 this year but Samsung seems to win the race if they can really make it to the market this June as claimed. The camera will be featuring Xenon Flash and TouchFocus which will let you select a particular area that will remain focused even if the object moves.

Unlike the Omnia II it is reported to be having a full QWERTY Keyboard and other interesting features such as Windows Mobile 6.1, 3.5 inch 480X800 AMOLED touchscreen display, fast 800 MHz processor, 5.1 MP Camera and loads of others.

July 6th, 2009 Samsung announces earnings estimateSEOUL, South Korea — Samsung Electronics Co., the world's biggest manufacturer of memory chips, announced quarterly earnings estimates for the first time Monday, saying it hopes to reduce market confusion and speculation about its performance. The Suwon, South Korea-based corporation said it expects consolidated sales of between 31 trillion won ($24.46 billion) and 33 trillion won for the three months through June.

September 23rd, 2009 NEW DELHI - Tata Docomo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices, in association with Korean handset maker Samsung Mobile, Wednesday launched India's first Android-powered mobile phone. Priced at Rs.28,990, Samsung Galaxy (I7500) has a 3.2-inch full touch-screen and WiFi connectivity, and will provide users access to Google mobile services and full web browsing at high speed.
