The dragon shaped stadium designed by Toyo Ito can accommodate 50,000 spectators underneath the eco-friendly shelter. When the stadium will not be used, the extra energy will be fed into the local grid which will meet about 80% of the neighboring area’s energy requirement. The solar panels are capable of generating a total of 1.14 million KWh per year which will prevent the release of 660 tons of Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere annually.
