SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- The wait for the Verizon iPhone is going to be over hints industry veterans. If the industry buzz is to be believed the announcement of the iPhone release date by Verizon may be in the next week. The largest mobile network provider of USA has invited a section of journalists to an event where it is expected to make some major announcements on Tuesday. Even though Verizon has not said what will be unveiled at the press conference it is clear that its president Lowell McAdam will be present there and he will give a speech as well. The development comes at a time when Apple the Cupertino based technology behemoth that makes iPhone has decided to cut short the vacation of its employees in February. Apple usually does this when it launches a new product say industry insiders.

The release date of the Verizon iPhone may be revealed on January 11th when the Verizon conference is held. The users of iPhone have complained for long that the network coverage offered by AT&T is shoddy. Verizon has always edged ahead of AT&T when it comes to faster network and speed. However, it has not been able to offer iPhone on its network so far because of the contract Apple has with AT7T. That contract is likely to be over this year.

Verizon is now expanding its super fast LTE network in various parts of USA. Even if it announces the iPhone release date on January 11th there is no indication if it will be compatible with Verizon’s 4G network. AT &T has not reacted to this so far.
