Vivendi Chief Takes Pot Shot At Infinity Ward

Media giant Vivendi which owns a controlling stake in the world biggest game publishing unit Activision Blizzard. As Vivendi chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Levy spoke at the Morgan Stanley TMT conference this week in Barcelona regarding the recent success of the Call of Duty Black ops game.
ARTICLE CONTINUED BELOWAccording to media reports Levy was was ecstatic about the $650 million, five-day sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Incidentaly this phenomenal success broke the sales of Modern Warfare 2 which figured at $550 million. He said
We have broken our own record. I am very, very pleased. The Treyarch studio, which made this year’s game, has done better than what Infinity Ward could achieve a year ago.
He made a few jives at Infinity Ward the Establishment that actually started the series. He said that

Levy later confirmed that Infinity Ward plagued by mass layouts was in the process of being rebuilt. It has been quite the buzz now that a possible Modern Warfare was in the works. Also as we reported there may be a future spinoff to the game that may be set in space.
